Our work centres on construction and engineering contracts of every description. We draft, review and negotiate building contracts, EPCC and turnkey arrangements, design-and-build contracts, subcontracts, consultancy appointments and supply agreements. We are equally comfortable working from the standard forms in common use in Malaysia, including the PAM, PWD/JKR and CIDB forms, and from international forms such as the FIDIC suite, as we are preparing bespoke contracts for projects that do not fit a template.
Our construction practice sits alongside our wider real estate work, so we understand the construction contract in its proper context, as one part of a development structure that also involves land, financing, regulatory approvals and the eventual sale or operation of the completed asset. That perspective allows us to spot the points where a construction contract needs to align with the development agreement, the financing terms or the head lease, and to close the gaps before they become disputes.
